As the joys of summer stretch out before you, join us on a gastronomic journey across Europe. From Capri’s sun-drenched cliffs and Mallorca’s sugary shores, to the sophisticated streets of Knightsbridge, each destination promises a unique dining experience. While away leisurely summer days with inspiring flavours in beautiful settings.
Capri in summer is a fever dream: rugged cliffs rise from azure waters, coloured bougainvillaea cascades over whitewashed walls, and cobblestone paths wind through sunlit piazzas. This sublime setting is complemented by the region’s rich culinary heritage, centred around fresh seafood and local produce. Guests at Jumeirah Capri Palace can experience the authentic flavours of Capri at L’Olivo, the island’s only two-Michelin-starred restaurant.
Overlooking the Gulf of Naples, L’Olivo’s terrace offers one of the most envied dining spots on the island. Here, guests can enjoy the restaurant’s signature dish – lemon-scented homemade tagliolini pasta with burrata cheese, red prawns, and sea asparagus – while watching the sun dip below the horizon.
This season, L’Olivo enriches its offerings with a three-part series of four-hand dinners. Jumeirah Capri Palace’s Executive Culinary Chef Andrea Migliaccio and Executive Chef Salvatore Elefante will join forces with renowned Chefs Bobo, Paolo Casagrande, and Nino di Costanzo to showcase the very best of Italian cuisine. The final dinner of the series is set for August 5th, promising an unforgettable dining experience.
Adding to the allure is the launch of a-Ma-Re Capri, in collaboration with renowned pizza artisan Franco Pepe. Designed with the Italian summer in mind, the new restaurant offers traditional Neapolitan favourites against the backdrop of the Blue Island. Nothing quite compares to the delight of tasting a traditional, yet innovative, wood-fired pizza while admiring glittering views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the mystical Blue Grotto beyond.
Mallorca, another picturesque island cocooned by turquoise waters, is renowned for its varied gastronomy. The celebrated Mediterranean diet thrives here, featuring sun-ripened vegetables and fresh fish caught straight from the sea, all enhanced by locally pressed olive oil and citrus fruits. With the life-enriching bounty of the Balearic Islands at his fingertips, Jumeirah Mallorca’s Executive Chef Javier López embraces these local, seasonal ingredients, blending traditional Mallorcan recipes with innovative techniques.
This culinary artistry shines at Es Fanals, our renowned fine dining restaurant perched dramatically on a cliff and set against the backdrop of the sweeping Tramuntana mountain range. Guests can choose from three exquisite tasting menus, with standout dishes such as Sóller prawn with oyster, caviar, and fennel ice cream, followed by the glazed loin of Tramuntana suckling goat.
Annually, Executive Chef Javier Lopez works closely with chefs from other hotels within the Jumeirah portfolio. This year, he hosted a Michelin-starred four-hands event with Executive Chef Andrea Migliaccio from Jumeirah Capri Palace and Jumeirah Burj Al Arab.
Working closely with homegrown producers to champion locally sourced ingredients, Es Fanals creates an exceptional dining experience for both hotel guests and Mallorca residents.
In the heart of Knightsbridge, where tree-lined avenues are graced with elegant Victorian townhouses and manicured squares, Jumeirah Carlton Tower unveils its new restaurant and boulangerie, La Maison Ani. Led by Dubai’s Chef Izu Ani, the space transitions from a cosy artisanal bakery in the morning to a sophisticated brasserie by evening. This is evident in the menu, which offers the rustic charm of the French countryside with the refined elegance of Parisian bistros. Enjoy rich rigatoni with truffle, slow-cooked short rib, or hearty dishes where seafood and chicken take centre stage. Classic French dishes include escargots de Bourgogne and French onion soup topped with Gruyère cheese.
For an authentically British experience, a new afternoon tea inspired by the enchanting Highgrove House & Gardens, created by His Majesty King Charles III, awaits. This experience is a celebration of sustainability and seasonality. Delight in classics including coronation chicken sandwiches, delicate scones, and a fruit cake inspired by the King’s favourite sweet treat, all paired with refreshing teas or a selection of sparkling beverages. Set in the heart of the neighbourhood, enjoy tradition at its finest, with each bite and sip paying homage to British culture and royal heritage.
