Meliá Hotels International appoints Outbound Marketing as its Sales & Marketing arm in India
Meliá Hotels International, a global hotel chain with more than 370 hotels in 40 countries, has appointed Outbound Marketing, as its overseas Sales & Marketing Representation Office in India, effective from January 2016. As part of its development strategy in Asia, the group aims to strength its presence in the Indian market for overseas destinations.
Outbound Marketing is well positioned to represent Melia Hotels International in India with the team’s understanding of the Indian market, key relationships and their proven ability to drive revenue. Outbound Marketing will be responsible for driving sales and managing PR & marketing activities to develop the brand awareness of the group’s seven brands.
Ruben Casas, Senior Director Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific further added, “India is a strategic area of growth for us, particularly as we expand our presence in key overseas destinations like Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, New York or Miami to mention just a few. Across all our existing brands and destinations, Melia Hotels International can potentially fulfil all type of travellers needs from India market.
